On August 2nd, 2024, MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) hosted an insightful seminar organized by the Institutions Innovation Council. The event featured Dr. Arun Raaza, founder and CEO of Arcomm, co-founder and director of Stricx LLC, and Director of R&D at Vistas.
Dr. Farida Virani, Professor at MET IOM, Ph.D., MHRDM, BA, introduced the seminar with a focus on fostering innovation and entrepreneurial thinking through creative platforms like Aavishkar and CIIA.
Dr. Arun Raaza delivered a comprehensive presentation on intellectual property rights, covering key topics such as patents, industrial designs, trademarks, and copyrights. He highlighted the significance of novelty in patents, explained what cannot be patented, and differentiated between regular and design patents, emphasizing the latter's role in protecting unique visual elements of products.
Dr. Rashmi Srivastava addressed the audience's queries regarding patents. The seminar provided valuable insights into intellectual property rights, inspiring attendees to think innovatively and understand the legal protection of their ideas.
The event concluded with Dr. Rashmi Srivastava and Mrs. Sheeja Koliyote honoring Dr. Arun Raaza for his significant contributions.
