MET Institute of Management inaugurated the Women Leadership Forum 2025 in the presence of Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative, Mumbai Educational Trust, Dr. Swati Lodha, Director, MET Institute of Management; Dr. Manmeet Barve, Dean - Academics, MET Institute of Management; and distinguished guests - Mr. Saugata Bagchi, Global Head - Digital, Content, Experiential & MarTech, Tata Communications; Ms. Udita Shroff, Regional Head of Marketing - South Asia, Middle East, and Africa, Cathay Pacific; Ms. Karishma Raghuvanshi, Head of Talent Acquisition, Sahara Star; Ms. Roma Balwani, Co-Founder, Roma Balwani Foundation; Ms. Manmeet Chadha, Owner, Chirag Carriers, with the lighting of the lamp on 21st March 2025.
The event began with the inaugural address by Dr. Swati Lodha, where she spoke about the need to move towards a gender-agnostic world rather than merely focusing on gender parity. She encouraged the audience to foster an environment where opportunities and success are driven by merit and values rather than gender distinctions.
The Women Leadership Forum 2025, featured a panel discussion on the topic ‘Leadership - Crossing Divides’. The discussion focused on how leadership today involves bridging gaps across gender, industries, generations, and mindsets. It emphasized the importance of adaptability, inclusion, continuous learning, and the courage to challenge barriers in personal and professional spheres. The panel discussion was moderated by Dr. Swati Lodha, Director, MET Institute of Management.
The panel featured distinguished leaders who shared their experiences and insights. Mr. Saugata Bagchi, Global Head - Digital, Content, Experiential & MarTech, Tata Communications, spoke about the importance of dreaming big and committing to one’s vision with consistency and resilience. Ms. Udita Shroff (MET IOM Alumni, MMS 2008-10), Regional Head of Marketing - South Asia, Middle East, and Africa, Cathay Pacific, shared her inspiring journey as the first in her family to enter the corporate world, encouraging everyone that you can do it, whatever you try. She credited MET Institute of Management, her alma mater, for shaping her career. Ms. Karishma Raghuvanshi, Head Talent Acquisition, Sahara Star, emphasized the need to stay humble, keep learning, and embrace diverse experiences. Ms. Roma Balwani, Co-Founder, Roma Balwani Foundation, stressed the value of learning, unlearning, and relearning to adapt to changing environments. Ms. Manmeet Chadha, Owner, Chirag Carriers, shared her journey of building a transportation and logistics business from just two trucks to a comprehensive logistics and warehousing solutions company.
The discussion covered key themes such as women in leadership, entrepreneurship, confidence, attitude, happiness, dedication, and the evolving upbringing of women.
