MET Institute of Computer Science hosted an insightful session on Waste Management, conducted by Mr. Shubham Nikam, Consultant at United Way Mumbai.
The session aimed to create awareness about sustainable waste management practices, focusing on the 4Rs – Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. The key topics included Types of waste & environmental impact, Effective waste segregation & composting, Technological advancements in waste processing and Real-world case studies of successful waste management initiatives.
Students and faculty engaged in discussions on practical solutions to implement waste management at both individual and community levels. The session was an eye-opener on how we can all contribute to a cleaner, greener future!
