On February 2, 2024, MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma) organized a guest lecture for first and second-year Diploma Pharmacy students on "Happy Hormones and Mental Health." Dr. Madhuri Gurjar, a homeopath and social worker, led the lecture. She actively contributes to society through an animal-focused NGO and co-founds a nonprofit supporting struggling artists.
Dr. Madhuri addressed the often unspoken but relatable topics of mental health and hormones. Providing a detailed explanation, she raised awareness about stress, mental health, and coping mechanisms involving exercises and daily activities. Sharing experiences from her patients, she connected with students facing similar challenges. In today's competitive world, where youth grapple with mental health issues due to social media and lifestyle changes, her insights on happiness and contentment were particularly relevant. Dr. Madhuri's guidance is poised to positively impact the future pharmacists.
