Operations Conclave 2024’ on the theme “Innovating Operations: Leadership, Strategy and
Processes.”
The conclave commenced by lighting the lamp in the presence of Dr. Swati Lodha, Director, MET
IOM, Mr. Yogesh Agrawal, Managing Director, Ajanta Pharma Limited, Mr. Neil Patil, Founder, COO
and CTO, Veena World, Ms. Radhika Subramanian, AGM, Godrej & Boyce Co. Mfg. Ltd, Ms. Sheetal
Panchal, Director General, Maharashtra Economic Development Council (MEDC), Mr. Sandesh Akre,
Assistant Professor, MET IOM and Mr. Rohit Mohite, Assistant Professor, MET IOM.
Dr. Lodha emphasised the vital role operations play in driving both industry and national
development. The Operations Conclave 2024 was organised to give greater exposure and help the
students develop a more strategic orientation towards the subject area of Operations.
The Operations Conclave 2024 hosted a captivating fireside chat with Mr. Yogesh Agrawal, MD,
Ajanta Pharma. Moderated by Dr. Manmeet Barve, Associate Professor, MET IOM, the discussion
delved into a range of topics, including work-life balance, the motivations behind joining a family
business, the exciting future of operations and AI, and the essential qualities of effective leadership.
Mr. Agrawal shared his personal journey, offering valuable insights into the challenges and rewards
of leading a successful enterprise. He emphasised the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life
balance, fostering a positive work culture, and embracing technological advancements to drive
innovation and efficiency.

Industry leaders from the tourism and consumer goods manufacturing sectors shared valuable

Mr. Neil Patil, Founder, COO & CTO of Veena World, discussed the importance of operational
efficiency in the travel industry, highlighting how meticulous planning ensures smooth customer
experiences.
Ms. Radhika Subramanian, AGM of Retail Management at Godrej & Boyce, emphasised the
complexity of retail operations and its impact on customer satisfaction, while also advocating for
breaking gender stereotypes in the field. A dynamic session fostering new perspectives on
operational excellence!
Ms. Sheetal Panchal, Director General of the Maharashtra Economic Development Council (MEDC),
underscored the council’s crucial role in shaping policy frameworks, driving impactful interventions,
and conducting sector-specific research to propel economic growth.
