MET IOP (Degree) organized an International Symposium (Online) titled ‘Biopharmaceuticals in Global Healthcare System’ in association with Campbell University, North Carolina.
Dr. Stephen Holly introduced the “Fundamentals of Biopharmaceuticals”, their applications, and differences from synthetic molecules. Dr. Abha Doshi discussed Biopharmaceuticals used to address Unmet medical needs, with special emphasis on Monoclonal Antibodies (MAbs) in cancer treatment. Mr. Masood Alam, discussed the Vaccine Development journey, the Immunization Agenda 2030, and Serum initiatives. Mr. John Jarnagin discussed Pneumococcal vaccine manufacturing, significance of process control and changes affecting quality attributes. Mr. Ranijth K. emphasized on “Biosimilars, role of stakeholders, trial registration, pharmacist involvement, and safety monitoring. The interaction with the speakers was very fruitful.
The event was a grand success with massive participation from India and USA and took us a step closer towards improving global healthcare outcomes.
