MET Institute of Management organized its annual Industrial Visit for the MMS Batch 2024-26 on 4th-5th March 2025, providing students with a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to industry operations. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical business applications, enabling students to understand real-world challenges and best practices across different sectors. By interacting with industry professionals and observing operational processes, students could relate theoretical concepts to actual business scenarios, enhancing their managerial acumen.
As part of the visit, students explored 7 companies across diverse industries, gaining insights into their functioning and market dynamics. At CEAT Ltd, they learned about tyre manufacturing, quality control, and sustainable production techniques, while Jay Bharat Maruti Ltd (JBM) provided exposure to automation and precision engineering in the automotive sector. Sahyadri Farms offered a glimpse into farm-to-fork supply chains and sustainable agricultural practices, whereas MetaForge Engineering Pvt Ltd highlighted innovations in metal forging and industrial production efficiency. At VIP Industries, students observed product design, lean manufacturing, and brand positioning strategies in the consumer goods sector, IndoPump Pvt Ltd introduced students to industrial pump manufacturing, focusing on precision engineering, fluid dynamics, and maintenance efficiency, while Armstrong showcased advancements in HVAC systems, industrial insulation, and energy-efficient solutions.
This immersive experience equipped students with a practical understanding of industry trends, preparing them for future managerial roles.
