On 10th April 2025, the students of MET Institute of Management, FYMMS (Batch 2024-26) had the valuable opportunity to visit the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), Uran. The industrial visit provided a practical understanding of the Port-Centric Logistics Supply Chain Management (SCM) Model, emphasizing the integration of supply chain activities around the port to enhance operational efficiency, reduce transportation costs, and improve turnaround time.
Students also gained valuable insights into Port Cargo Logistics Analysis, exploring the movement, handling, and storage of cargo, as well as Port Terminal Analysis, which highlighted the critical role terminals play as essential nodes in international trade and logistics.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Mukund Dongare, Deputy Manager (Traffic Operations Division), for his guidance, insights, and unwavering support throughout the visit, which significantly enriched our learning experience.
