MET Institute of Management, under its Social and Sustainability Committee and Green Club, has implemented an innovative and eco-friendly practice to promote environmental sustainability. Flowers used during the sacred Satyanarayan Pooja were repurposed through composting to create nutrient-rich fertilizer for the campus gardens.
This initiative not only reduced waste but also enriched the soil naturally, reflecting the Institute's commitment to sustainable development. The transformation of ceremonial flowers into organic compost served as a powerful example of how small, thoughtful actions can have a significant environmental impact.
This scalable initiative can be adopted by local communities, such as nearby BMC wards, to foster greener and more sustainable neighborhoods.
