On 3rd April 2025, MET Institute of Management organized an insightful visit to the National Stock Exchange (NSE), providing MMS 2024-26 students with first-hand exposure to the dynamic world of stock trading and financial markets. This experiential learning opportunity deepened their understanding of capital markets, trading strategies, and derivatives, bridging the gap between academics and real-world finance.
During the visit, Mr. Purv Shah, NSE Academy Trainer, delivered an insightful and engaging session on key financial market concepts. The session provided a comprehensive overview of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and its role in the financial ecosystem, followed by an in-depth discussion on the Capital Market Segment, highlighting market operations, investment opportunities, and key instruments. The session also featured a live demonstration of Futures & Options trading, offering practical exposure to derivatives. Additionally, students had the opportunity to experience NSE NSMART – a trading simulation, which provided hands-on learning in market dynamics and strategy development.
Special appreciation to Mr. Durgesh Desai for facilitating this incredible experience and making it truly memorable. This visit not only enriched students’ financial acumen but also equipped them with practical insights and industry-relevant knowledge, essential for their careers in finance and business.
