The MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma) organized a one-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "Future of Pharma: AI and Bio-AI Technologies in Action" on 14th September 2024. The event saw participation from around 35 faculty members representing various institutions across the Mumbai region.
Led by industry experts, entrepreneurs, and AI professionals, the FDP showcased the latest advancements and applications of AI in pharmacy research, with a focus on improving research outcomes and enhancing educational effectiveness.
The program kicked off with a session on AI-Driven Drug Discovery by Mr. Alok Ranjan, offering insights into how machine learning algorithms can analyze vast datasets to identify potential drug candidates, significantly reducing both time and cost in the drug discovery process. This was followed by a deep dive from Mr. Rishi Nagar, who explored the role of AI in analyzing biological data to develop innovative healthcare solutions for more precise therapies and a better understanding of complex biological processes.
A hands-on training session by Mr. Omprakash Mandage provided participants with practical experience in using AI tools and platforms for data analysis and research applications. The program was highly appreciated by all faculty participants, who found it to be both informative and impactful.
