MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma) organized an educational field visit to Maharashtra Nature Park, Dharavi, on February 18, 2025, for First-Year D. Pharm students. Accompanied by Principal Dr. S.D. Bhosale, faculty member Mrs. Dipali Khabale, and staff Mr. Santosh Bhure, the students explored the rich biodiversity of the park, which was once a dumping ground but is now a thriving green ecosystem.
From the Butterfly Garden to the Medicinal Plants Garden, students learned about various healing herbs like Shatavari, Gymnema, Brahmi, and Tulsi while also understanding the importance of rainwater harvesting and vermicomposting. This immersive experience highlighted the crucial role of medicinal plants in healthcare and deepened students' appreciation for nature’s pharmacy.
