The recent educational trip organized by the MET Institute of International Studies to the Mumbai Customs and Ports was an enriching experience for all the students. The visit offered valuable insights into the operations and functioning of customs and port facilities, significantly enhancing the students' understanding of international trade and logistics.
After the port tour, the group visited the New Customs House, where a PowerPoint presentation was delivered by Mr. S. K. R. Reddy, Deputy Commissioner of Customs. The presentation focused on key topics such as Swachhata and drug control measures. Mr. Vivek Pandey, Commissioner of Customs, emphasized that Swachhata goes beyond maintaining external cleanliness, stressing the importance of addressing societal issues like drug addiction.
MET IIS extends its heartfelt appreciation to the customs authorities for the warm welcome and support during the visit. The well-organized informative sessions and guided tour provided students with invaluable knowledge, and the thoughtful gesture of return gifts made the experience even more memorable. Special thanks to Mr. Vivek Pandey, Commissioner of Customs; Mr. S. K. R. Reddy, Deputy Commissioner of Customs; Mr. Roubins K.
