A session on ‘Digital Transformation and Analytics’ was conducted by Prof. Omprakash Mandge for the students of Vidyalankar School of Information Technology on 21st February 2025.
Taking a unique approach, Prof. Mandge explained Apache Hadoop and MapReduce using characters from the movie Lagaan, making complex concepts relatable and engaging. By drawing parallels between Bhuvan’s team strategy and MapReduce’s task division, students gained a clear understanding of distributed computing. The interactive session turned into an exciting discussion, proving that technical topics can be simplified through storytelling.
