Embarking on an educational journey, the MET Institute of PGDM orchestrated a captivating Education Tour to Nashik for the second-year Batch 2022-24, spanning the dates of March 1 and 2, 2024. Aiming to broaden their horizons, students of the PGDM batch explored the premises of three distinguished organizations: Parle G, Lokmat Nashik Media House, and Sahyadri Farms.
At the Parle-G industries unit nestled near Nashik, the students delved into the intricate world of biscuit production, ranging from classic glucose varieties to the indulgent chocolate cream creations. Additionally, they gained a fascinating glimpse into the realm of flavored potato chips, unraveling the detailed nuances of the manufacturing processes.
The visit to Lokmat Nashik Media House provided a comprehensive understanding of the newspaper industry's intricacies. From initial computer-based preparations to the final printed product, students witnessed the arduous journey newspapers undergo. The session also shed light on challenges faced by the print industry in the wake of the burgeoning IT sector.
Culminating their exploration at Sahyadri Farms, India's largest integrated platform for fruits and vegetables, the students delved into the symbiotic relationship between agriculture, technology, and national economy. The visit aimed at showcasing how technological advancements contribute to the sustainability of farms and farming systems.
