The DLLE and Green Club of MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree), in collaboration with The United Ways Organization, organized a lecture on Waste Management for Final Year B. Pharm students on 9th October 2024. For the past 22 years, this organization has been committed to conserving natural resources and fostering environmental awareness and action.
The speakers highlighted the large volume of waste generated in Mumbai and discussed the key causes contributing to this issue. They stressed the need to shift mindsets around waste and encouraged participants to take proactive measures in tackling the problem.
Introducing the “4 R’s” of waste management—Refuse, Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle— the session provided practical strategies for individuals and communities to adopt for effective waste management.
The lecture was both informative and engaging, leaving students inspired to implement the strategies shared.
