From leading UltraTech Cement at 35 to building a PAN-India financial empire, Mr. Rathi spoke on the importance of hard work, blending IQ with EQ, and adopting a philosophy of continuous learning. He emphasised the 1% aspiration, 99% perspiration rule for success and the need for constant innovation. His parting advice? Always aim for progress that’s faster, better, and cheaper.

Ms. Neetu Kashiramka, MD of VIP Industries Ltd., inspired the newly inducted students by sharing her personal and professional journey. She emphasised the value of embracing failure and learning from setbacks, with examples of Bill Gates, Thomas Edison, Aman Gupta, and Piyush Bansal.

Ms. Kashiramka highlighted the importance of hard work and carving your own path, reflecting on her own career journey from Kewal Kiran Clothing Ltd. to becoming MD at VIP Industries. She encouraged students to challenge the status quo, embrace multitasking, and never stop learning, urging them to dream big and stay determined. Her words resonated with future leaders, leaving them with valuable lessons for their own professional growth.

On Day 2 of Aarohan – Launchpad 2024, MET IOM had the privilege of hosting Mr. Biswaroop Mukherjee, Head HR - Commercial Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors, who shared invaluable insights with the newly inducted MMS 2024-26 batch. Her powerful message encouraged students to aim higher and dream bigger, instilling a mindset of resilience and leadership.

Day 3 of Aarohan Launchpad featured an insightful multimedia case study session led by Dr. Swati Lodha, Director, MET IOM. The focus was on the iconic November 2008 terrorist attack on the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, sparking thought-provoking discussions among students. Dr. Lodha highlighted the complexity of leadership, stressing that multiple perspectives can be valid. A TED Talk on the incident prompted a powerful question: “Out of 600 employees, why didn’t a single one run away?” This led to a deep dive into Tata’s unique corporate culture, their guest-centric approach, and the systems behind their loyalty-driven workforce. The discussion encouraged students to explore whether such unwavering commitment could be replicated in other organizations. A truly inspiring session challenging future leaders to think outside the box and redefine leadership in their own journeys.
