On 21th August 2021, MET Institute of Management’s Institution's Innovation Council celebrated 'World Entrepreneurs Day' by hosting a fun entrepreneurial chat with the management students to answer their questions regarding entrepreneurship, innovation, and all the aspects surrounding it with Dr. Hasina Sayed, Mentor (Entrepreneurship & Start-up) as part of ‘Ask Me Anything’ event. The MET faculty Dr. Manmeet Barve and Dr. Swati Lodha set the ball of questions rolling and then, students got a chance to raise their queries about anything around entrepreneurship.
Students learnt that they should not shy away from communicating their ideas and there is no such thing as a bad idea. One important wisdom nugget dropped by Dr. Sayed was that Entrepreneurship is 1% idea and 99% execution. She made us realise that idea is the Crux, funding and the other aspects depend on it and a mentor plays a very important role in our journey as an entrepreneur. Students also learnt that moving on from an idea sometimes is a healthy approach which helps an entrepreneur to grow. There were several takeaways and learnings from the event which they can apply in future ventures. Experimentation in life is a must. It is often out of the box ideas that turn out to become great success stories.
