For the first time in the history of MET International Women's Day was celebrated online by the Institute of Management on 8th March 2021. The entire program was organized by the first year MMS students who have not met their class mates in person till now.
The chief guest at the event was Mrs. Shrushti Deshmukh, Vice President Operations-Accenture. She shared the journey of her life in making this career. she shared her difficulties and challenges that she faced as a woman and showed how education was the main asset that brought her success. Her story was very inspiring with shades of goal setting, dreams, hard work, perseverance and sense of achievement.
Director General Vijay Page complimented womanhood. He appreciated the roles played by them in every aspects of life and stated that they are the procreators of earth and thereby shall inherit it. Deputy Director Dr. Sangeeta Tandon spoke of Shivshakti as a holistic existence and gave her message to all the girls to be courageous, know their rights, understand financials and maintain work life balance by being sincere but not too serious in life.
Both girl and boy students sang songs, performed dances in the glory of womanhood, identifying various roles of a mother, sister, beloved and friend. One of the students who is also a nutritionist Ms. Disha Jain spoke on healthy well-being. Dr. Nitin Kulkarni complimented the students for putting up such a wonderful show. The entire event was attended by 165 students with the assistance of MET google platform provided Mr. Yuvraj.
