Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) celebrated India’s 76th Independence Day with immense
patriotism. The celebration commenced with a bike rally by students and faculty of all MET
Institutes. The students were soaked in the colour of Tiranga chanting ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’.
It was followed by a splendidly co-ordinated march-past and the dignitaries hoisting the
National Flag with stunning rendition of the National Anthem by the MRV Primary Choir. Shri
Pankaj Bhujbal, Honourable Trustee, MET gave an inspiring speech followed by our Chief
Guest Ms Yatri Vitekar, Chairman, Railway Recruitment Board - Mumbai, under the Ministry
of Railways, Government of India who enthralled the audience with her thought provoking
words.
The bright and young MRV students from Preschool to Grade 10 and AS & A Levels
presented dynamic speeches in Hindi and English, a drama on Savitribai Phule, a street
play, amazing dance and music performances, which were infused with patriotic melodies, a
special performance by MET IIS, and finally closing with a fabulous singing performance by
our very own MET faculty and music legend Mr. Vinay Mandke. It was a memorable day at
MET and MRV.
