Under the aegis of Centre of Excellence - HR and in collaboration with Hadassah Foundation, MET Institute of Management conducted 5 days ‘International Faculty Development Program’ from 13th May 2023 - 18th May 2023.
Recognising the importance of training management faculties in enhancing their physical, mental and emotional well-being as a medium of improving and enhancing the overall progress of the institute and the academic fraternity, various sessions ranging from self-development, yoga and EQ were organised with subject experts.
The 5 days ‘International Faculty Development Program’ kick started with Dr. Swati Lodha, Director, MET IOM addressing participants on the topic - ‘Excellence 360 degree’. She briefed the audience on techniques and methods that can be used for holistic excellence and progress. She shared models that can be used by individuals to excel while playing different roles in life.
Focussing on the importance of Yoga and Mental Health, Dr. Rashmi Bhadani, Certified Yoga Trainer, Yoga Vidya Gurukul, conducted an informative session on Yoga - A way of Life. She exposed the participants to the deep understanding of how to keep one’s body and mind composed during stressful times.
The focus of Day 2 of the International FDP was on understanding the concept of mindfulness through usage of words and language. Mr. Kwang Chun Kim, Instructor of International Mind Education Center & Manager IYF World Youth Camp conducted the session where he shared with participants learnings from the South Korean miracle in his session - Mindfulness - The Power of Words.
On Day 3, Dr. Harshada Mulay, ICF Certified Spiritual Intelligence Coach & Management Faculty at ITM Business School via her session ‘Transforming Life through NLP’ exposed participants to understanding the concept of NLP through usage of live activities. She integrated the usage of NLP in developing and enhancing student performance.
Dr. Farida Virani, Professor - HR & Behavioural Sciences, MET IOM & International Trainer led the session on ‘Happiness - A Choice’, a brief workshop on understanding the various nuances of happiness and ways to achieve through ideas such as gratitude, sincerity and apology. Through several demonstrations she emphasised on various aspects of happiness and deepened the participants' understanding on the same.
The International FDP ended on 18th May, 2023 with an interesting session by Mr. Ambuj Jain, Coach with ICF approved training Member of Association of Mumbai Coaches (AMC) on ‘EQ - Understanding & Managing Emotions’, Mr. Jain exposed the participants present to a thorough decoding and understanding of the term ‘Emotions’, thereby building an understanding on ways to improve ‘Emotional Quotient’ by understanding and managing one’s emotions.
