MET Institute of Management recently concluded a successful 2nd ‘5-day Faculty Development Program (FDP)’ on 'Writing & Teaching Cases.' The program saw a diverse group of 45 participants, with 26 coming from external institutions.
At the end of the program, a total of 11 new cases were written.
Throughout the week, participants gained valuable knowledge and practical skills in crafting effective teaching cases.
Day 1: Dr. Swati Lodha, focused on the fundamentals of case writing - What? Why? and How? Providing a strong foundation for the participants. In the second half, the Case Narrators met with their respective groups and shared industry dilemmas to develop a case.
Day 2: Featured a session by renowned expert Dr. A K Dey, who delved into the specific techniques for writing research-based cases.
Day 3: A full-day, offline session by Dr. Amarpreet Ghura, who led a session on crafting engaging teaching cases and techniques on developing comprehensive teaching notes.
Day 4: Participants actively worked on finalizing their teaching case drafts, receiving support and guidance throughout the process.
Day 5: A dedicated "Case Clinic" by Dr. Santosh Dhar, Dr. Swati Lodha and Dr. Amarpreet Ghura provided participants with insightful feedback on their developing cases, helping them refine their work for finalization.
