MET Synergy: Learning from the Experts

MET Synergy 2017-18, the two days event is a platform for Mass Media Industry Academia Interface. The objective is to get senior media professionals to share their expertise and journey with young aspiring mass media students at MET.

The eminent media personality Mr. Rana Barua, Group CEO – Creative Land Asia opened the session by emphasizing on the essentials of handling team talents and the challenges, business, brands, repositioning of brands and existence of an idea in the work eco system. RJ Salil Archarya, Radio City, the next speaker explained the importance of IPR in today’s context. He also shared his success stories as well as his journey of rejections. He emphatically stated that to reach where you want to, you will face rejections that must be taken in the right spirit.

Concluding day of MET Synergy featured session on ‘Interactive Marketing’ by Nitin Srivastava, Head- Media Buying and Operations, Madison OOH and Dream Building Exercise by Actor and Motivational Speaker, Varun Mitra. It also presented insightful talk on ‘The New Emerging Media’ by Komal Nahta, Anchor, ETC Bollywood / Bollywood Trade Analyst and Yashashree Phansalkar from Zee Marathi who spoke on how Marathi Entertainment captures viewership at the peak and the role of marketing. The event also presented the inspirational talk and open interactions with MET Institute of Mass Media alumni Vinodhini Patil, Senior Creative Producer, Optimystix Entertainment, Kanchan Mhatre, Creative Head, EsselVission Productions (ZEE) and Anish Raul, Manager - Content & Strategy, White Rivers Digital who shared their success stories.
