Program Structure

The BSc Computer Science comprises 22 modules across three stages:

Stage 4: 8 compulsory modules (15 credits each) – 120 credits.
Stage 5: 8 compulsory modules (15 credits each) – 120 credits.
Stage 6: 6 elective modules (15 credits each) – 90 credits, plus a Final Project (30 credits).

Assessment

Each module includes a mix of assessments. During your study period you will undertake formative assessments, which help you to measure your progress but do not count towards your grade, and summative assessments Summative assessments do count towards the final grade. These include a mid-session coursework submission and an unseen written examination (or final project) at the end of the session. Written examinations are held twice a year. You can defer sitting an exam once (subject to a fee) but you cannot defer the submission of coursework.

Entry Requirements

Eligibility	Standard Route
“A” LEVELS UK System and English requirement	3 Cambridge Advanced level passes in non - overlapping subjects where grade EED or above is achieved. OR 3 IGCSE passes at grade A - C in non-overlapping subjects plus 2 further Cambridge Advanced level passes at grade E or above in non - overlapping subjects. (IGCSE): Mathematics passed at grade A - B satisfies the Mathematical programme requirement
International Baccalaureate	International Baccalaureate (the Diploma) Mathematics / Mathematical Studies/ MathematicsAnalysis/ Mathematics Applications passed at Higher Level grade 4 - 7 / Standard Level grade 5 - 7, satisfies the Mathematics programme requirement for all BScdegrees in Computing.
Indian Boards	Year XII All India Boards (CBSE or CISCE or NIOS): 4 subjects each passed at 70% or above OR An overall average of 70% from all subjects taken at year XII Year XII All India Boards (CBSE or CISCE or NIOS): Mathematics passed at 60% or above satisfies the Mathematical programme requirement for all BSc degrees in Computing. Recognised year XII State Board: 4 subjects each passed at 70% above OR An overall average of 70% from all subjects taken at year XII satisfies the entrance requirements for the BSc Computer Science degree. If Mathematics is not passed at 70% or above then in addition Mathematics at year XII must be passed at 60% or above.
