Principal's Message

It is our endeavour to make MET Institute of Computer Science (MET ICS), a top educational institution that can create IT professionals, who blend effectively, technological skills with management perspectives and to impart an inherent discipline that will help them face challenges in the future. To enable this we offer our students the best possible facilities, infrastructure, faculty, curriculum and training and placements. Our students are truly global IT professionals, who have been shaped by our experienced faculty through their excellent academic inputs as well as the world class facilities at MET. MET ICS has an excellent scholastic record since its inception in 2001. Our very first batch produced 5 distinction holders, 12 first classes and 1 University topper. There have been regular rank holders viz, Ms. Khyati Desai, Ms. Archana Jadhavani, Ms. Benita Oliviera, Mr. Rakesh Kumar Choudhari and Mr. Soorya Krishna Pillai. More recently Ms. Aarthi Pillai from Batch 2016 – 2019, Ms. Aishwarya Sangle from Batch 2019 – 2022 and Mr. Akshay Iyer from Batch 2021 – 2023 have been among the University toppers. The basic purpose of the Institute is to transform a young, enthusiastic student into a professionally competent postgraduate capable of accepting the challenges of the industry. The focus is on 'creative learning' based on the prescribed syllabus of the University of Mumbai, which the institute is affiliated to. Ample opportunities are provided for interaction with the experts from the industry through guest lectures, field visits, vacation training, activities of the student chapters of international professional bodies, sponsorships to technical paper presentation competitions etc.
