PGDM Students of MET Institute of PGDM had the opportunity to attend the International Anti-Corruption Day (IACD) 2024, hosted by the UN Global Compact Network India (UN GCNI) on December 9, 2024, at the IMC, Mumbai. With the theme “Empowering Change through Integrity: Cross-Sector Collaboration Against Corruption,” the event brought together leaders from business, government, and civil society to deliberate on fostering transparency and accountability. Inspiring keynotes by stalwarts like Dr. Pradnya Saravade (Rtd. IPS) and Ms. Sunita Sule (BASF India) emphasized the pivotal role of youth and leadership in creating a culture of integrity.
The event featured engaging technical discussions and leadership roundtables, where industry experts such as Mr. Suhas Tuljapulkar (Legasis Private Ltd.) and Mr. Narendra Salvi (Aarti Pharmalabs) shared their perspectives on ethics in healthcare, MSMEs, and public-private partnerships. Cultural dialogue sessions, including a fireside chat with eminent speakers like Mr. Sanjay Chordiya (Suryadatta Education Foundation), further explored the societal changes needed to combat corruption effectively.
The day concluded with a powerful Capstone Session featuring experts like Dr. Jayesh Lele (IMA) and Dr. Somnath Singh (UN GCNI), who discussed strategies for sustained cross-sector collaboration against corruption. This enriching experience inspired MET students to embrace the values of integrity and accountability, reinforcing their commitment to becoming future leaders dedicated to fostering positive change.
