MET's Institute of Management has been chosen as one of 23 institutes out of over 165 institutes participating in E Week India to be place on the specially created: Entrepreneurship Week 2007 Honor Roll. E Week Honor Roll recognises those institutes who have shown real leadership on their campuses, creativity in the types of events and activities, commitment in running events throughout the week, and have successfully engaged significant portions of the student population. Honor Roll institutes have reached into the community and have run activities for others as well. In total there are only 23 institutes on the E Week India 2007 Honor Roll.
Says Laura A. Parkin, Executive Director - Wadhwani Foundation & NEN, “ The energy and commitment with which your institute has taken on Entrepreneurship Week embodies the spirit of E Week, and is a great example of creativity and participation. And while we had not contemplated these awards at the outset of E Week, we feel that the success and example that your institute and others have set absolutely needs to be recognised! We therefore instituted 6 E Week Champion Awards and the E Week Honor Roll. Our double congratulations again to you – for in the true spirit of entrepreneurship, you, your students and colleagues, by the sheer success of your efforts, helped create awards that did not originally exist. That is true entrepreneurship, and somehow very fitting for the first ever celebration of E Week India! We are honored to be associated with you, and know that if efforts such as yours are held up to light the future, then India's future can only be the brightest!”
The Institute was awarded this special recognition at a dazzling function held at St. Joseph Indian High School grounds, Bangalore on March 3 rd and are also recognized on the E Week website and at NEN Online.
