MET Annual Convocation 2014


MET League of Colleges hosted the MET Annual Convocation on 23rd March, 2014 to celebrate the achievements of students graduating from various disciplines. The grand ceremony commenced with a formal procession, wherein the MET Trustees, the Guest of Honour, Heads of Departments, faculty and coordinators took the stage.

The bustling MET Convention Centre was packed with academicians, staff, graduating students and their proud family members. Prof. Vijay Page, Director General - MET delivered the keynote address. Hon. Trustee- MET, Shri. Pankaj Bhujbal declared the convocation open. Chief Guest, Shri. B. Narayan, Group President (Procurement & Projects), Reliance Industries Ltd. conferred the PG qualifications upon students graduating from the MET Mass Media, eMBA, eMBA Finance (Banking &Insurance), eMBA- Insurance in association with the CII, London and PGDM programmes. Shri. Pankaj Bhujbal guided the students to take the ‘MET Professional Oath.’ Students pledged their qualifications to ethical practice and service of the nation. Shri. Pankaj Bhujbal also addressed the students, wishing them a bright and successful future. Chief Guest, Shri. B. Narayan shared key insights on corporate leadership and motivated students into a successful career in his convocation speech.

The student graduates were overwhelmed with joy to be photographed with the chief guest, trustees, and other eminent dignitaries in their convocation attire. This was followed by a corporate lunch. The convocation marked a farewell to all the batches on one hand and a warm welcome to the new list of MET alumni’s Committee on the other.
