MET, Mumbai and ACCA, UK sign the MOU for a Joint Alliance
Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK have entered into an MOU on July 27, 2015. This alliance will provide prospective students the world's best learning opportunities and qualifications in the field of Accounting and Finance, thus opening up rising global careers. MET has taken an initiative to commence eMBA Finance – ACCA (UK) programme to facilitate management students an access to the Global Accounting and Finance domain expertise, through the balance mix of academics and corporate exposure. With this intent, we at MET have negotiated and formalised the tie-up with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK which has over 170,000 members and 436,000 students in 180 countries. ACCA also works with over 8,500 approved employers and over 77 accountancy partnerships worldwide.
ACCA - one of the six Recognised Qualified Bodies as per the Companies Act in UK agreed to offer academic supports as well as global placement opportunities to the students pursuing these programmes. We had series of discussions with senior office bearers - Ms. Ilham Punjani ACMA, CGMA, CDIF, Head of Business Relations – Education and Mr. Nooh Khushal, Business Relations Manager to work out a programme with maximum benefits to the students. We are glad to announce that MET formalised this alliance by signing an MOU in the presence of ACCA representatives: Ms. Lucia Real-Martin, Market Director – Emerging Markets, Mr. Mohd. Sajid Khan, Head of International Developments. We believe this platform will develop and offer Accounting and Finance professionals to the Global Corporate Arena.
We are now looking forward to launch and start the batch 2015-17.
