MET initiated ‘Anti Tobacco Rally’ on 21st October, 2013 to drive the awareness of the most fatal but often overlooked issue which is not only hampering the adult citizens of India, but also destroying the young brigade of our country. The main cause of the rally was to aware common people about the ill effects of tobacco on human health.
MET’s young Pharmacists from MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) crusaded in the vicinity of Bandra and marched on the streets, spreading messages that educated common man on the hazardous effects of tobacco. Apt posters and banners providing information on various diseases and consequences of tobacco consumption were crafted creatively and caught people’s attention effectively.
Irrespective of the results, MET students are ready to challenge any issue which is affecting the country. This rally is just one example of hope and sincere efforts that these young pharmacists are ready to put up to make a difference.
