MMS stock rises
MET MMS student Jinesh Vaishnav was crowned the winner of the first round of StockMIND, a nation-wide contest aimed at college students, enabling them to showcase their stock investment skills. Pawan and Jubbin Shah of the MMS Finance 2013-15 batch were declared the runners up.
The competition launched by ICICI Direct Centre for Financial Learning, saw a participation of more than 78,000 students from over 550 colleges across 60 cities this year. Students were given virtual money of 15 lakh rupees with which they had to trade in the equity stock market over the span of 15 business days. Jinesh secured the highest net worth and was rewarded with a trophy and certificate for his outstanding performance. He represented MET at the National level, where he competed with winners from other participating colleges and B-Schools.
