MET's South African Connection
As a part of the MUNIJAN programme organised by the University of Mumbai, a delegation of 12 members from South Africa visited MET on 4th October 2016. The delegation consisted of two faculty members and 10 students who hailed from different cities of South Africa. Prof. Annemarie Davis, Head of Graduate Studies and Research and Ayanda Vuyo Noma, Director - UNISA lead the group of students. The delegates were welcomed by Dr. Vijay Page, Director General, MET IOM, Dr. Sangeeta Tandon, Course Coordinator, MET IOM, and MMS student coordinator, Arjun Deka.
A meeting was organised for an interaction between the MET faculty and the delegates, where the feasibility of undertaking joint research projects was discussed. During the meeting MMS students also presented few innovative ideas for new product development and business. After the meeting the delegates were taken on a guided tour of state of the art MET Campus by Prof. Mayee. The group accompanied by Prof. Tanaya, MET faculty and the MMS student coordinator went on a tour of Bandra before departing for University Campus at Kalina.
