Rahul Bose at MET for the Master Class

MET Institute of Mass Media in association with Media Konnect (A global media exchange platform) organized a Master Class on ‘Production & Direction’ by eminent actor, producer and director Mr. Rahul Bose on April 15, 2017. The session was attended by media aspirants across colleges, students, alumni, faculty & staff of MET. Amongst the other eminent speakers there were also Ranjit Thakur, Founder –Media Konnect and Viveck Vaswani, prominent actor, writer and producer. The session opened with an introductory talk about Media Konnect & Master Class. Viveck Vaswani enlightened the students with some of the key points in Film Making with a 360 degree perspective.

Rahul Bose is a critically acclaimed Indian film actor who has appeared in various movies and short films. His work in parallel cinema films like English, August and Mr. and Mrs. Iyer has won the hearts of many. He has appeared in Bengali films such as Kalpurush, Anuranan, Antaheen, Laptop and The Japanese Wife. He has also appeared in Hindi films such as Pyaar Ke Side Effects, Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam, Jhankaar Beats, Kucch Luv Jaisaa, Chameli and Shaurya. His journey from being an actor for so many years, and the transition to being a director and a producer was the center stage of the Master Class.

Master Class with Rahul Bose turned out to be a knowledge-rich, interactive, and compelling session for the aspirants who wish to pursue direction and production in television and films. Rahul Bose shared his experiences on the making of the film ‘Poorna’ & his journey as a film maker. It was an extremely motivational talk with hard core reality checks of the communication business followed by a mini Q & A. What an invigorating session it was!
