Sharp Minds Outshine
MET students have many contests and titles to their credit. In one of such instance, MET students outshone competition at Thakur Institute of Management Studies & Research (TIMSR) which organized the college festival- EVOKE, covering events in the area of management application, cultural, gaming, business, debate, quiz and workshops. Many top ranking B-schools participated in this event.
MET PGDM students Rahul Sheth, Abhishek Soral, Rishabh Gangwani and Jainam Shah were the winners of AVANT- GARDE by securing the 1st prize. The competition demanded showcasing Marketing Skills & Boosting the level of Innovation & Creativity. They overcame all the hurdles of two tough rounds. First round consisted of making an advertisement for an innovative product. MET students strategically designed and presented the Ad of a Sleeping Tunes Pillow under brand name RESTONIC. In the second round they presented to the eminent jury their marketing strategies for the product. The strong contenders for this event were Sydenham, Chetana and TIMSR etc. MET students received certificates and a cash prize of Rs. 3000.
On the other hand Namrata Singh was adjudged the winner of COHERENCE which demanded showcasing of research aptitude and multi-dimensional thinking capability of the student. It was promoted by Democracy Foundation. She displayed outstanding writing prowess on the topic – 'Democracy our roles and Responsibilities', in which she expressed extensively on the roles and responsibilities of Indian citizen and features of a democratic country. Second round is shortly to take place on the topic 'Democracy as a tool to achieve millennium development goals'. She is undertaking a research to prepare a research paper and she stands the chance of going to the United Nations to present her paper.
That's not it, even Rishabh Gangwani and Rahul Sheth were the winners of THE AWESOME OPPORTUNITY, securing the 1st prize. It was an innovative HR game in which, win or loss depended on the friend. The event included a Group Discussion, an Impromptu Talent round and a grilling interview by the judges, in which bright MET students excelled. They defeated teams from the top B-shools like Sydenham, TIMSR etc and received a cash prize of Rs. 3000.
The win spree continued as Jainam Shah, Rishabh Gangwani, Rahul Sheth, Rahul Kabra and Namrata Singh were the winners of 4 Sheep and the Shepherd, by securing the 1st prize. It was a management game tested students on skills like - how to work in a team, create an attitude of team building and co-ordination. MET students received certificates and a cash prize of Rs. 3000.
Indeed the sharp minds from MET outshined everyone to achieve the multiple victories. All the very best METizens!
