MET Presents India's First Online Initiative: DIGIMET
Propelled by an array of innovations at home and at work, our transition to the digital world has been rapid. Amidst this new area of digital innovation, Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) in association with the Institute of Digital Marketing (IDM) organized India’s first online contest in digital marketing – DIGIMET.
The inaugural function was held on 1st April, 2014 at the MET Convention Centre in the presence of the Chief Guests - Mr. Bhutani, National Sales Head, Komli Media and Mr. Shreeraman, Vice President, Publicis Beehive; Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee MET; Dr. Vijay Page, Director General, MET IOM and Mr. Yogesh Udgire, Director, IDM. The Chief Guests unveiled the DIGIMET competition video. Dr. Vijay Page and Mr. Yogesh Udgire introduced the contest to the audience.
The contest called on and encouraged the youth to learn, create, contribute, connect and share their innovations on an international platform. Students from the age group of 15 – 24 years were invited to participate in the contest absolutely free of cost. Participants would have the opportunity to display their skills in Video Making, Posters, Social Media, Humour/ Cartoon, Article/ Paper Presentation, Mobile/ Web, Social media Campaign, Business Plan and Graphic/ Animation/ Creative Design. Submissions would be evaluated by an eminent panel of jurists comprising of professionals, industry experts, distinguished members of the academic world and government dignitaries. The best submissions would win exciting prizes upto one lakh rupees, the highest prize money to be offered in a student contest world over. Winners would be felicitated in a grand event at MET and their works would be showcased on various online platforms.
Companies of international repute such as MTCG, Google Developer Group, Online Marketing Institute USA and Growth Concepts USA have lent their corporate support to DIGIMET, with the aim to attain a win-win situation for all.
